She embarked on her artistic journey during grammar school, and her passion for art only deepened during high school in Tupelo, MS, where she pursued both private and school-based art classes. Her artistic development has been greatly enriched by her studies in Art History at Memphis University, as well as her exploration of fine arts and design at Memphis College of Arts.
Her love for the great outdoors and the beauty of nature’s creations significantly influences her work. As a dedicated mother of eight children, she had the privilege of nurturing their creativity, guiding them in the art of nature journaling and outdoor sketching. She has also shared her artistic knowledge as an art teacher at Desoto Academy and currently offers private lessons to a small group of aspiring young artists during the school year.
With her children grown, her focus now lies in further cultivating her love for painting and drawing, both within the studio and in the great outdoors (en plein air). She warmly extends her gratitude for considering her artwork and welcomes you to explore her creative world.
