The Art Connection,designed to supplement the arts program in public schools, began in October 2013. 
This program is made possible from funding from the Byhalia Lions Club and is coordinated by the Byhalia Area Arts Council.
The art classes are taught during activity periods at Byhalia Middle School on Wed of each week to 6th, 7th, and 8th grade levels. Instructor and materials as well as lesson plans are developed by the BAAC.
